Fool-proof security plan for the second Test match between Pakistan and Australia, 5276 police personnel to perform security duties
The entry of vehicles fitted with CNG cylinders and use of drone cameras will be strictly prohibited in the stadium premises, instructions were issued to the spectators.
Pakistan vs Australia | A comprehensive security plan has been drawn up by the Security Division for the second cricket Test match between Pakistan and Australia to be played at the National Stadium Karachi. The Test match will start tomorrow (Saturday) from March 12. This was given in a meeting chaired by Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, DIG Security and Emergency Services Division at SU Headquarters.
All stakeholders including Commandant SSU Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui, Col. Shakarzai of Pak Army, SSP East Qamar Raza Jaskani, Additional Deputy Commissioner South Tabriz Murree, Wing Commander Sindh Rangers Lt. Col. Zafar, Lt. Col. Musaur Abbas, and PCB officials. Attended the meeting.
Pakistan vs Australia | It was informed in the meeting that a total of 5276 police personnel would be on security duty during the match.
1667 of Security Division including 1148 SSU Commandos, 1398 of Traffic Police, 430 of Special Branch, 375 of Rapid Response Force, Pakistan Army and Sindh Rangers and other law enforcement personnel at National Stadium, Karachi Airport, Routes, Practice Grounds.
Parking points, hotels, and various other places will be on duty while sniper experts will also be deployed at sensitive places.
Pakistan vs Australia | The SSU Special Command and Control Bus will be deployed at the National Stadium to monitor law and order around the stadium while aerial surveillance will be carried out during the movement of the teams.
The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team will be patrolling around the stadium to deal with any emergencies and will be on alert at SSU headquarters.
According to the meeting, all roads/highways except one track on Sarshah Suleiman Road will remain open for traffic. National Stadium Parking points have been set up at Hakim Saeed Ground, University Road near Dabitul Mukarram Mosque, China Ground, adjacent National Coaching Center (for VIPs only).
Pakistan vs Australia | Fans will be transported from the parking points to the stadium by a special shuttle bus service while SS Yukmando in a track suit will guide the cricket fans from the zip parking points to the enclosure. Fans must carry their national identity cards to prove their identities, arriving at the stadium ahead of time to avoid the long queues.
Fans must present a vaccination certificate before entering the stadium. It is also mandatory to wear a mask when entering the stadium. The order states that any firearms, toy guns, explosives, crackers, cigarettes, matches No sharp objects such as knives and metal or wooden objects will be allowed inside the stadium. According to the letter, cricket fans will not be allowed to throw anything on the ground, players and fellow spectators.
